Conquer Kilimanjaro, Conquer Polio.
2016 Kilimanjaro Polio Climb
I travelled to India this year to help out with their National Immunization Days for Polio. I personally vaccinated many children up to the age of 5. These children will never suffer from Polio. Leaving a residence, where I had just administered the vaccine to a one year old, I encountered a 16 year old on crutches, one leg tied up behind him. He was missed 16 years ago.
I have been a member of Rotary for over 15 years. I have donated tens of thousands of dollars to Rotary’s Polio eradication effort. When I saw that child on crutches I knew I had to do more.
When all it takes to prevent Polio infection is two drops of an oral vaccine that costs 60 cents, no child in the world needs to suffer.
We are this close to ending Polio. Now is our chance to change the world. To make sure no child is disabled by Polio ever again. Join in. Speak out. Donate. Be a part of history.
